1. Terms And Conditions

1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders and supersede all others. Receipt of acknowledgement of order by you, constitutes your acceptance that our conditions are the only conditions that apply to the contract notwithstanding any purported terms put forward by you.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 Account

Payment for online orders shall be made in full via our payment providers; PayPal and Stripe using your PayPal balance and/or a credit/debit card. A PayPal or Stripe account is not required to pay via Credit/Debit Card, however if paying by PayPal, their website is used as a payment gateway to take your credit/debit card payment.

2.2 Discount/Voucher Codes

Discount/Voucher codes are only valid for orders placed online and only one discount/voucher code can be used per order. In the event of a product return, refunds will be given for the original purchase once the discount is applied, less any delivery charged on the original order. Discount/voucher codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or during our sale periods. We reserve the right to withdraw our discount/voucher codes at any time.

3. Working Days

Our working days are - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

4. Passing Of Title And Risk

4.1 The risk in the goods shall pass to you on delivery.

4.2 All goods delivered or not, remain our property until payment is received in full.

4.3 Until such time as payment is made you shall retain such goods separately from other goods and clearly mark them in such a way that they can be readily identified as being our property and any payment received by you for any sale of such goods must be held in a separate account in trust for us. In the event of non-payment for such goods we will, without loss of any rights or remedy, remove from your possession those goods belonging to us in accordance with these conditions and we shall be entitled to enter upon the property where the goods are stored to repossess and remove the same. You hereby grant us an irrevocable licence to enter your premises for the said purposes.

5. Products

5.1 We reserve the right to alter any details of products advertised without notice and while every effort is made to describe goods accurately in the advertisement no warranty is given as to accuracy and no responsibility will be accepted for error or mis-scription and any resulting loss.

5.2 We supply either A4 (21cm/210mm x 29.7cm/297mm) or A3 (29.7cm/297mm x 42cm/420mm) portrait posters printed on 300gsm silk coated paper available in a choice of 6 colours (Blue, Green, Red, Orange, White or Black).

5.3 Frames and Mounts are not included.

6. Quotations And Contracts

6.1 Orders are accepted subject to our right to adjust prices quoted to take account of any changes in the law or Government regulations requiring us to increase prices by way of direct taxation, import duties, customs and excise duties or otherwise. The prices are based on today¹s current costs of production and in the event of any increase in wages or costs of materials to us occurring after the confirmation of accepted contract; we shall be entitled to charge such increases to you.

6.2 Quotations are only valid for 30 days after the initial quote date.

6.3 Any price or quotations is subject to change at any point without notice, including advertised offers.

7. Delivery

7.1 Orders are printed once a week on a Friday (excluding public holidays whereby orders will be printed the next available working day or during the Christmas period whereby cut off times and last posting dates will be available on our Delivery page) with a cut off time of Thursday at 11.59pm (GMT) and after receipt of full payment. Orders are shipped via Royal Mail with optional order tracking and signed-for signature.

7.2 Every effort will be made to deliver on time, but any delivery day specified is a best estimate and no liability is accepted for any loss arising from delay or error in the delivery of the goods. All deliveries will be charged at the prevailing rates applying at the date of such delivery.

7.3 Marathon Maps accepts no responsibility for deliveries being missed due to non-payment. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that full payment is made before delivery can take place.

7.4 Please check your order upon delivery, if your order arrives damaged please refuse the delivery and contact Marathon Maps (01603 568755) as soon as possible. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the order for damage before receiving your goods/signing as Marathon Maps are unable to refund for damaged orders that have been received/signed for.

7.5 International transit times are approximate and may be subject to customs clearance. Local country restrictions apply. Marathon Maps will not be held responsible for any delay of delivery of the goods with international deliveries.

7.6 Marathon Maps cannot be held responsible for any customs and excise charges that may occur from the import or export of your goods.

7.7 Unfortunately we do not offer our services outside of mainland UK, including the following postcodes  - BT (Northern Island), HS (Outer Hebrides), KW (Orkney Islands) and ZE (Shetland Islands).

7.8 Marathon Maps reserve the right to cancel your order if outside of our delivery radius. A full refund will be given in these circumstances.

8. Quantity Variation

We shall be deemed to have fulfilled our contract by delivery of a quantity within 5% plus or minus of the quantity of printed goods ordered and you will be charged at the contract rate for the quantity delivered.

9. Claims

9.1 Claims arising from damages, delay or partial loss in transit must be made in writing to us, so as to reach us within 5 days of delivery.

9.2 All claims with regard to the quality or quantity of the goods shall be made in writing to us so as to reach us within 5 working days of receipt of goods or such goods shall be deemed to comply as to quality and quantity within the terms of the contract.

9.3 You must examine all goods delivered at the time of delivery. We shall not be liable for any loss arising from damage caused to the goods in transit unless loss or damage is noted on the delivery note at time of delivery or you refuse delivery.

9.4 Claims in respect of non-delivery must be made in writing so as to reach us within 4 days from receipt of our invoice.

9.5. Marathon Maps requires any printing to be returned in full before agreeing to reprint. If Marathon Maps deem the printing to be of sufficient quality, and within tolerance we reserve the right to return the goods and refuse a reprint or refund.

10. Liability

10.1 Our liability for any loss or damage suffered by you in respect of the goods shall be limited to the contract value of the goods.

10.2 We can accept no responsibility for loss or damage arising from the supply of goods under this contract unless you have fully complied with the notification of claims procedure set out in clause 10.

10.3 We are not liable for any financial loss incurred by you, including but not limited to expenses incurred by you, interest payments & loss of earnings or similar gains you would have received on monies paid to us in lieu of any unfulfilled order.

10.4 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect the rights of a consumer.

11. Refunds

11.1 We Reserve the right to rectify defective work by reprinting and shall not be liable to refund.

11.2 Marathon Maps will credit your account if we deem a refund should be made.

11.3 If we offer to replace you must accept such an offer unless you can show clear cause for refusing to do so.

11.4 If you do opt to have work re-done by a third party without reference to us you automatically revoke your right to any remedy from us.

11.5 All defective work must be returned to us before replacement, if the subject work is not available we will assume that it has been accepted and no replacement will be provided.

11.6 Refunds will take 3 to 4 working days to complete once Marathon Maps has agreed to refund. This cannot be completed any faster.

11.7 Any costs incurred for work already carried out up to the date of written cancellation will also be charged for and deducted before any refunds are made. If the order has not yet been paid for then an invoice will be raised for the amount concerned and sent to the responsible party.

12. Samples & Proofs

Unfortunately we do not provide paper samples or email artwork designs proofs for products available on our website.

13. Artwork And Printing

13.1 All artwork is printed digitally using CMYK unless otherwise stated.

13.2 Bespoke design charges must be paid upfront and are non-refundable.

13.3 We only quote for one design per kind, any additional are chargeable.

13.4 We will not print bespoke artwork that been designed by Marathon Maps until this has been approved by the customer.

13.5 Please note that all images, text and logos are the intellectual property of Marathon Maps and are not to be used without our written permission.

14. Artwork Design Proofs (Bespoke Artwork)

14.1 Artwork Design Proofing does not apply to products already available on our website.

14.2 Please note that the colour of the printed item will be affected by the type of material chosen for the artwork to be printed on.

14.3 Please read thoroughly as all proofs, once passed, are deemed correct and ready to go to print, and the responsibility passes to the customer. You will need to view all PDF proofs at 100% to see the exact size of your product when printed. We will not be held responsible for any mistakes such as spelling and punctuation or layout (if changes requested). We will not commence print until we have received a copy of the final proof with a written confirmation to go to print by email.

14.4 Proofs must be signed off, and the sign off email received by Marathon Maps before 12noon, on the working day that the proof was sent in order to receive the prints for the agreed delivery deadline.

15. Free Map Customisation

15.1 Please check your Name, Finish Time and Race Date map customisation thoroughly, once your item is received by Marathon Maps it will be deemed correct and ready to go to print.

15.2 Your Name and Race Date will be printed in uppercase.

15.3 Your Finish Time will be printed as 00:00:00

16. Force Majeure

We will not be held responsible for failure or delay in the carrying out of our obligations under the contract arising from any cause outside our reasonable control or by inability to procure materials or articles except at higher prices due to any such cause and in such circumstances we shall be entitled by notice to terminate the contract in whole or in part without incurring any liability whatsoever to you.

17. Miscellaneous

The contract between ourselves the Company and the Customer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.

18. Complaints

Complaints must be made within 48 hours of receiving your goods. The complaint will be assessed and if Marathon Maps deems it necessary, a reprint may be offered. Any complaints made after 48 hours are automatically void of any offer to reprint and will not be assessed. Please contact us on 01603 568755, email info@marathonmaps.co.uk.

19. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

19.1 The European Union has taken a monumental step in protecting the right to privacy for every EU resident with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will be effective from the 25th May 2018. EU residents will now have greater say over how their personal data is used, processed, or disposed. This rule clarifies how the EU personal data laws apply even beyond the borders of the EU. Marathon Maps are giving you the opportunity to remove your personal data that we currently hold in our secure database. The information we hold is initially used to process and send your order. It is then stored for the handling of refunds, complaints and future orders. The data is not used for any marketing or data purposes. 19.2 If you require your account to be removed completely, please email info@marathonmaps.co.uk stating your request.

20. Affiliation

Marathon Maps (www.marathonmaps.co.uk) is not affiliated or sponsored by any race event company and/or organisation or any of its affiliates unless specifically stated otherwise. This is an independent and unofficial company and website.

21. Free Gift

During our sale period, you may choose and receive 1 free gift (training diary or race clips) with each order at www.marathonmaps.co.uk whilst stocks last. A free gift is only available during our Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale events which are advertised on our website and social media pages. Offer not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.
